Impact of propaganda use
Propaganda was used as a weapon itself in World War One, it ensured that the people knew what the Government wanted them to know, with a bias opinion to there country. Propaganda covered up the harsh truth of going to war, and made it seem like an honor. News papers were controlled by media Barons, and the Government so people read what the country wanted them to think about war,and there country leaving out reality. Propaganda was made to attack emotions, or cause a viewer to think a certain way. Forms of propaganda took views a country already held and found ways to make sure those views remained. Country's success was also emphasized through propaganda as encouragement. In World War One, propaganda between countries in the Allies would be similar and Propaganda between countries in the central powers would be similar too. This relates to all propaganda use during wars because its one aim is to get the people to believe what the government wanted them to believe. making conditions seem different then they are, acting like the country needs more help than it does, and depict war as a good thing to do for your country and how its all about nationalism and making the country and family proud. A trend noticed in British propaganda is the use of the British flag, and attacking nationalism.
